In 2001 the EU introduced the approach of ‘mainstreaming’ conflict prevention into its Partnership Agreement with the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries. QCEA carried out case studies on six ACP countries and this report looks at the EU conflict prevention programme in Uganda. The purpose of this project is to serve as an educational tool about ACP-EU conflict prevention rather than to evaluate what the EU is doing with regard to conflict prevention.
