Alice Privey (she/her) joined QCEA in July 2023. She leads the Climate Justice and Peace Programme, working to bring a peace lens to the EU’s transition to sustainability. The aim is to minimise the potential for conflicts by ensuring that European responses to the climate crisis are grounded in respect for human rights and a strong commitment to equality.
Alice has an academic background in political science with a specialisation in conflict and peace studies. She was a Research Officer at Stop Fuelling War and has previously worked for the European Union delegation to the Philippines and the Institute for Security and Development Policy (ISDP) in Stockholm. She is also a ONE Youth Ambassador and is passionate about promoting more peaceful societies through equity and justice.
Fluent in French and English, she has some proficiency in German and a basic understanding of Spanish and Korean.
