Her international academic journey began with exchange programmes in Norway and Spain during her Bachelor’s studies. In Norway, she focused on intercultural communication, developing an understanding of cross-cultural interaction and diverse perspectives. She continued her Master’s studies in the Netherlands and at the University of Córdoba in Spain, before moving to Brussels for her internship at the Quaker Council for European Affairs (QCEA). These experiences have strengthened her adaptability, intercultural communication, and understanding of diverse social contexts.
At QCEA, she supports research on climate mobility and positive peace, focusing on climate change, migration, gender, and structural violence, alongside stakeholder mapping and knowledge production. She brings experience in migration research, qualitative interviewing, thematic analysis, and gender and intersectionality frameworks. Nisanur is a native Turkish speaker, fluent in English, and continues to develop her Spanish. Her work reflects a commitment to inclusive, gender-sensitive, and peace-oriented approaches to migration and climate justice.
