Migration, Peace & Security - How Security Aims Can Still Be Rooted in Peace.
A Roundtable Dialogue on Reframing Europe’s Security through Positive Peace
(Hybrid event; only the online option is available now)
Description
Across Europe, migration is too often framed through a narrow lens of security and control. This roundtable will explore how security goals can instead be rooted in positive peace—a framework that emphasises dignity, inclusion, and structural justice. Building on QCEA’s recently published handbook Moving with Dignity: A Positive Peace Approach to Migration, expert speakers will reflect on how peacebuilding principles can reframe Europe’s approach to migration and security.
