Description

"Most people do not listen with the intent to understand; they listen with the intent to reply." - Stephen R. Covey

The ability to listen is essential to working and collaborating with others. It shows others that we have time for them and respect them even if we don’t agree with what they say. It encourages them to say more and reflect on what they are saying. It makes it easier to discover common needs and move towards solutions. Listening is not easy and takes practice but it is a superpower worth having!

This training will introduce a listening practice called listening at three levels and give you the opportunity to practice using it in small groups.

This training is free but places are limited so please register as soon as possible.

About the facilitator:

Tracey Martin is the Director of Quaker Council for European Affairs and a member of the Barefoot Guide Collective. She is an experienced facilitator and trainer and has practised the listening on three levels for many years.
