Andrew Lane



Andrew serves as QCEA's Director, ensuring the organisation delivers its strategic plan. Andrew manages a wide range of relationships at the European and national levels.

Andrew is an active part of QCEA’s Human Rights programme, convening and facilitating a wide range of people in shared problem-solving. Andrew is deeply committed to addressing structural injustices to deliver genuine human rights protection for the most marginalised people affected by European policy, and is the author of Race and Privilege in Europe.

Before joining QCEA, Andrew worked in the UK police service for a decade, including as the principal policy advisor to a regional police commissioner. Andrew served on the steering committee of the European Peacebuilding Liaison Office between 2014 and 2019. He has studied at Cranfield University, University of Novi Sad, Birmingham University and the University of Wales, Aberystwyth.
